  • How often should I workout ?
    According to most National Fitness Organizations, you should Strength Train a minimum of 1-2 times per week. Cardio Training should be done five times per week. for 30 minutes. Flexibility training almost everyday.
  • What's the best abs exercise?
    The best exercise to get your abs to show is......walking. Everyone has ab muscles, they are just covered by excess fat. Once you lose that fat, any type of crunch will help bring those abs out!
  • I'm a woman. Why should I lift weights?
    First of all, don't worry, you will not 'bulk up' That takes a lot of testosterone and most women do not have that much naturally. Lifting weights can help prevent osteoporosis and muscle loss. It will keep your bones, tendons and ligaments strong. Plus, it is the best way change the shape of your body and keep muscles toned.
  • Why should I use a Personal Trainer?
    A competent Certified Personal Trainer will design a fitness plan for you to reach your goals in the safest and quickest way possible.
  • I'm a runner. Do I need to weight train?
    Ask this a 1,000 times and get the same answer. YES. Running is not substitute for resistance training. It a cardio workout.
  • How many reps should I do?
    That depends completely on your goals. For general fitness, try 8-15.
  • Is it better to train in the morning or night ?
    Whenever you have the time.
  • What should I do first? Weight or cardio?
    Lots of debate regarding this question. Simple answer: whatever your primary goal is. Better cardio efficiency, then cardio first. More muscle, weights first.
  • How many calories do I need per day?
    Again, this depends on your goal. Once determined, your age, height, weight, gender and physical activity determine your total daily calories. Try this calculator.
  • I only have a half hour to workout. Is that enough?
    Excellent workouts can be accomplished in 30 minutes. You'll have to be very efficient to maximize your time. Get a trainer and/or a great workout plan.
