Specific, Measureable & Attainable
Be sure your goals are specific, measurable & attainable.
Specific
If you would like to workout more in May, instead of saying, "I will workout more," make your goal specific:
"I will workout 3 times per week this month."
Measurable
Make your goal measurable.
"I'm going to workout for at least 30 minutes, for at least 3 days per week this May," is easy to measure.
AttainableMake sure you can actually achieve your goal. If you don't like to workout in a gym, try setting a goal to train from home.
Relative & Time Sensitive
Relative
If hitting the weights isn't your style, avoid setting a goal that includes weight training! You can use body weight exercises or try sports like rock climbing for your strength workouts.
Time Sensitive
Be sure there is a timeline for you goal(s).
Here's an example of a time sensitive goal:
"I will complete 15 workouts by May 31st, 2018."
Remember, a goal without a plan is just a dream!
