3 Stretches You Should Do Daily
Work in an office or at a desk all day?
The following stretches will help relieve tension in muscles that are commonly overused at work.
Hip Flexor Stretch
This stretch will release some tension in the hips caused from sitting too long.
Step 1: Stand with your right leg in front of your body and your left leg behind.
Step 2: Lower your left leg slowly towards the ground.
Step 3: Pause for up to 30 seconds.
Step 4: Repeat on the other side.
Side Butterfly Stretch
This stretch will release some tension in your side, upper back and inner thighs.
Step 1: Sit cross-legged on the floor.
Step 2: Raise your arms above your head and clasp your hands together.
Step 3: Lean towards your left as far as you can comfortably move.
Step 4: Repeat on the other side.
Doorway Chest Stretch
This stretch will release some tension in your chest caused from sitting over a keyboard too long.
Step 1: Stand with your feet shoulder width apart.
Step 2: Grab a doorway wall with your left hand.
Step 3: Turn to your right.
Step 4: Hold for 30 seconds and repeat on the other side.
