Are you unsure about working out in a new gym? For most people, heading to workout at a fitness center for the first time can be intimidating - and maybe even a little bit scary. Here's how to pull it off.

Just Walk In

Take a deep breathe, open the gym door and walk in. It may seem difficult, but you'll feel good (and maybe even relived) immediately after you walk in to the gym. Remember, everyone working out there had to walk in for the first time, just like you.

Still Scared?

Still scared to walk into a new gym solo? Bring a buddy. Most people tend to reach their fitness goals quicker when they have a workout partner. Bring a friend who has the same goals as you, and you and your new fitness buddy will enjoy the benefits of motivating each other while keeping each other on track. Soon, you'll actually be looking forward to working out. You may even experience that "workout high".

Have a Plan

Before you get the courage to enter the gym, be sure you have a workout plan. Once you have actually made it into the gym, you can jump right in and start your workout, without fumbling around and figuring out with exercise to do next.
